    The analytical/numerical matching (ANM) general analysis method can separate a problem into a global numerical solution and a local analytical solution. This work demonstrates the application of ANM to the structural acoustic problem of scattering from a fluid-loaded membrane fixed along periodic parallel lines. The problem geometry and mathematical formulation are first presented, and the problem is solved classically using the ANM methodology. Finally, the ANM and classical exact solutions are compared in terms of their accuracy and computational efficiency. The sensitivity of scattering problems to solution convergence is discussed and illustrated at several points.
