    Abstract:
Reduced order aerodynamic models have proven successful for fixed wing and turbomachinery flows in reducing the size, complexity and computational cost of the aerodynamic model. Typically the eigenmodes or other basis functions of the original aerodynamic model are found and the reduced order model is constructed in terms of the dominant eigenmodes or basis functions. In the present paper, the Peters/He finite state model is used to explore reduced order model concepts for rotorcraft.
