    Abstract:
A dynamic model of a spacecraft with multiple gimballed payload and a flexible appendage was analyzed. The use of fuzzy logic control as a means to maintain a constant slew rate and fixed line-of-sight pointing for the payload mounted on the space platform, was investigated. The fuzzy linguistic controllers (FLC) were planned to used on one of the two payload, considering the other payload as disturbance source. The combined dynamics of the two subsystems, dynamically coupled via a gimballed drive shaft and a variable mass matrix, were also presented.
