(last updated on 2007/04/10)Abstract:
A description is given of the nontechnological considerations associated with the use of bionics technology. Such technologies involve substitution and implantation of man-made organs (for example, artificial heart or artificial kidney) for diseased or nonfunctioning natural body organs. A forecast of future developments using Delphi techniques is discussed and various aspects of moral, and socioeconomic impacts arising from developments in bionics technology are presented. Keywords:
