   Abstract:
   The general problem of quantitative analysis of the dynamics of flow in the microcirculation is considered and the plausibility of performing such analysis on simplified, large scale, hydrodynamic models is argued. Attention is focused on the capillaries which, because of their size, are perhaps the most difficult to model mathematically with any degree of realism.
