   Abstract:
   A brief report of an investigation of the focusing properties of an electrostatic lens formed by segmented electrodes on the surfaces of a coaxial cylindrical system, the average potential of the outer electrodes being Vs, the inner Vc and a differential voltage of 2V being applied between alternate segments.
