Faruk Uslu is a Master's student in the M.S. Economics and Computation graduate program. He is interested in the functioning of financial markets, monetary policy, international finance, data mining, and AI algorithms in financial markets.

He holds an undergraduate degree in the Industrial Engineering Department of TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) in Turkey. After graduation from TOBB ETU, he started his professional career as a project manager at the Regional Development Agencies in 2010 and worked on local economic development and local investment projects. After gaining knowledge of the dynamics of local economic development, he started to interest in data science and finance. His interests led him to decide to pursue his career at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He gained a great deal of experience in building demand forecasting models, risk management, project/program management and leading teams. During continuing his professional career at the Central Bank, he wrote up his specialization dissertation on "A Multi-Criteria Decision Support Model for Optimal City Selection for Central Bank Branches." His current interested areas are risk management, data analytics and project/program management.
