Research Interests: Gifted and Talented Education, Educational Policy and Legal Issues, Assessment

I am most interested in legal and policy issues with regard to gifted education at the federal, state, and local levels. My research has also focused on how teachers assess creative student products to inform future instruction.

Comments:

Expertise in legal and policy issues with regard to gifted education at the federal, state, and local levels--particularly around how such policies contribute to beneficial academic, social-emotional, and behavioral outcomes for traditionally underserved gifted students. Other research interests include education reform, curriculum development, and teacher preparation.
