I am a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Philosophy, currently writing a dissertation on foundational issues in international taxation and migration law. I hold a B.A. in philosophy and in economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Brown University, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. Prior to arriving at Duke, I worked as a tax attorney in the New York office of the law firm Sullivan and Cromwell, where I structured various complex domestic and international business transactions, among other things.

My main philosophical interests include legal, political and moral philosophy, as well as certain morally and legally pertinent topics in theoretical philosophy (e.g., causation, free will, abilities, personal identity). I am concurrently studying and engaging in research on tax policy at Duke Law School, and my work is interdisciplinary among law, philosophy and economics.

My work has appeared or is forthcoming in the peer-reviewed legal philosophy journal, the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, and the peer-reviewed taxation law journal, the Florida Tax Review. I will soon be a post-doctoral fellow at NYU School of Law and a visiting scholar at NYU Department of Philosophy. In my leisure, I enjoy composing and performing classical and instrumental guitar music, and playing chess.
