I am a fifth-year PhD student in philosophy, working on ethics, moral psychology, and non-western philosophy. My ongoing research focuses on emotion and well-being across philosophical traditions. In particular, I am interested in two questions: What emotional outlooks do different philosophical traditions recommend? What can we learn from these traditions in order to live a good life?

My dissertation studies dispassion in Stoicism and Zhuangism in an attempt to clarify common misconceptions of dispassion and identify a version of it that can be attractive to those of us interested in living a good life today.
