| Biographical Info of Candis W. SmithCandis Watts is a graduate candidate. Her areas of study are American Politics, Racial and Ethnic Politics, and Identity and Behavior. Her dissertation, entitled "Black Mosaic: Changing Contours of Black Identity and Black Politics," is a multi-method, comparative study of African Americans' and Black immigrants' identity and political behavior and attitudes. Candis is a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow. She has accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at Texas A&M University in the Department of Political Science and will begin there in fall 2011. | |
