    Abstract:
Presents an examination of feminist theological thinking about biblical interpretation. Suggests how Fish's notion of communal conventions is helpful to feminist concerns, briefly considers the disturbance a shift to communities creates for traditional notions of the biblical text, and concludes with a display of a further developed Fishian approach by looking at a community of women and the biblical 'text' they construct.
