Areas of interest include developing content and specific activities for increasing oral discourse skills and building critical thinking as ways to enhance proficiency in Spanish. She has also an interest in Spanish Service-learning courses where students integrate language learning with reflection on their service work in the community. She recently translated the Welcome Page for Duke http://www.duke.edu/welcome/spanish
