Daria Kozhanova,
Daria Kozhanova is a Ph.D. student in Romance Studies (Italian track) at Duke University. She works on contemporary Italian literature, feminist theory, and environmental humanities.
Before coming to Duke, Daria studied in Moscow, Padua, and Bologna – the experience that inspired her second field of research and teaching. Having been involved in several translation projects (with Italian and Russian), she is interested in transnational Italian literature and literary translation, especially in the works of those authors who challenge the notions of national and linguistic “Italian” identity.
