   Abstract:
   We use the Galois action on Q1 -{0, 1,∞}) to show that the homotopy equivalence S1 Λ (Gm, Gm, S1 (1 -{0, 1,∞}) coming from purity, does not desuspend to a map Gm, Gm, 1 -{0, 1,∞}.
