Abstract: The inverse problem in kidney modeling is a severely under
determined problem. Imposing a smoothing condition on the
basic variables and realistic bounds on the parameters,
leads to a constrained minimization problem. A method to
solve this problem by a generalized inverse algorithm is
given. Computational results are given showing the
significance of the smoothing condition.
