The general area of my research interest is numerical methods for differential equations arising from science and engineering applications, such as computational fluid dynamics and computational biology/electro-physiology. My current specific research interests focus on adaptive and multiscale algorithms for reaction-diffusion equations, Cartesian grid methods for elliptic boundary and interface problems, and boundary integral methods accelerated by fast multipole algorithms.
