   Abstract:
   The general topic of bioelectric potentials is introduced followed by the derivations for models of electrophysiological sources and bioelectric phenomena associated with various organs and the nervous system. Both forward problems (i.e. evaluation of potential fields at the sites of interest), and inverse problems (i.e. given extracellular potential at some point to derive the biopotential) are discussed in detail for muscle fibers, syncytial tissues and physiological volume conductor monodomain and bidomain formulations. Field measurements are also briefly considered
