A fully operational 8×8 array of GaAs resonant cavity-enhanced light emitting diodes (RCELED) was directly integrated on top of a silicon grayscale driver circuit. The integrated optoelectronic circuit allowed 32-level grayscale emission from each individually addressable pixel, and a yield of 100% with full circuit functionality was achieved from the array.Keywords:
