Tori is a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Classical Studies. Her research interests are in Latin poetry, reception, translation, and feminist studies; her disciplinary interests more generally are in public scholarship and social justice within the field of Classics. She is currently working on a dissertation on violence and power in imperial pastoral poetry. Tori has a B.A. in Classics and Comparative Literature from Brown University and an M.A. in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is currently Assistant Editor of Eidolon, an online journal that focuses on Classics in the modern world, as well as a volunteer with CripAntiquity, and the regional representative for the South in the SCS Classics Graduate Caucus.
