| Badr Abdelfatta Badr, Lecturing Fellow

Dr. Badr Abdelfattah Badr is a Lecturing Fellow in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Duke University. He has obtained a B.A. in Arts and Education from Ain Shams University, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and Language Teaching. At Duke University, Dr. Badr has been teaching Arabic language courses since 2021. He has been recognized as one of Trinity College’s top instructors ranking among the top 5% of all undergraduate instructors teaching in the Humanities for three times consecutively. Dr. Badr’s research explores foreign language teaching and learning, curriculum design, language assessment, and the applications of artificial intelligence in education. He is the author of five research papers and co-authored four others in these areas. In addition, he co-developed Arabic placement tests for novice, intermediate, and advanced levels, contributing to standardized assessment practices in Arabic as a Foreign Language at Duke University.
