    Abstract:
Multiple Critique: Islamic Feminist Rhetorical Strategies Active Islamic feminists combine religious convictions with their struggle for equal rights between men and women through a multiple consciousness of their oppressed condition. This consciousness fosters a « multiple critique » derived from a plural identity (Muslim, feminist, ex-colonized people) that some consider irreconcilable with religion, feminism and/or nationality. Partisans of this multiple critique form networks and unconventional political alliances in order to advance their program.
