Abstract: A specific objective is to examine the impact of two cross-compliance scenarios on farm level decision making. The first strategy would permit acecss to program benefits as long as a total farm soil loss limit is not exceeded. The second strategy would require protection of crop acreage by BMPs as a precondition to program enrollment or insurance purchase, regardless of soil loss.-from Authors
