Savannah is a second-year PhD student in Duke's English department. Her current projects focus on problems in poetics, such as the theory of the lyric, and issues around authorial intention and the poetic speaker. She is also interested in 20th century women's literature, art, and philosophy, and how those works ought to be evaluated in the context of women's historical exclusion from those disciplines. Her other interests lie in the philosophy of literature, Ordinary Language Philosophy, and literary criticism.

Savannah holds a BA in English from Mount Holyoke College, and an MA in Philosophy from UW-Milwaukee.
