  1. Khanna, R. "On the right to sleep, perchance to dream." A Concise Companion to Psychoanalysis, Literature, and Culture  (January, 2014): 351-366. [doi]

This chapter is about insomnia in the work of philosopher Emmanuel Levinas and its relationship to psychoanalysis. Levinas uses insomnia to discuss hospitality and refuge, and the chapter shows how the psychic location of space imagines refuge as death and the feminine. From this it addresses asylum philosophy and art, ranging from theater to video installation, and from dreams, to international law.
