Allison Dean,

Allison ‘Sunny’ Dean is a documentary media artist and amateur craftsman from Tucson, Arizona. After graduating from University of California, Santa Cruz’s Film and Digital Media program, they relocated to San Francisco to be more centralized in their work surrounding film as a form of advocacy. Allison’s work focuses on the narratives of community spaces and landscapes, and the portraits of the people within them. At Duke, they hope to explore the poetry of collaboration woven within documentary media’s framework, and the new age question of how we choose to document the world around us.
