| Anna Lee,![]() Anna Lee is a multimedia animator, illustrator, and musician with a BA in Art and Design from NC State. After a stint in Los Angeles pursuing film work, she found her focus shifting away from creative industry and towards creative community. She is the founder and curator of Scatterbrain Screenings, a screening series focused on curating and showcasing the work of independent animators in the Triangle. She was a 2024 NC Emerging Artist in Residence at Artspace and continues to teach workshops and youth camps while contracting as a designer and animator. In addition to her visual pursuits, she is a performing flautist and composes original music for the majority of her film projects. Anna’s personal work bridges analog and digital media to articulate the cognitive dissonance of corporeal existence in the age of the internet. As the line blurs between our virtual personas and true identities, she finds it increasingly valuable to position emotional honesty as the crux of her practice. Her personal work can be viewed at pewlter.com, and her curatorial work can be viewed at scatterbrainscreenings.com.
