| Jian Long,![]() Born in 1992, Jian Long grew up in Sichuan Province, China. With nine years of experience in documentary editing, he has developed a distinct editorial voice rooted in rhythm, intuition, and visual sensitivity. His work often delves into anthropological narratives, including the lives of China’ s last tattooed women, the hidden rituals of the Yi people in Liangshan, and the spiritual journeys of Tibetan mountaineers scaling glacial peaks. Originally trained in animation, Jian brings a painterly eye to nonfiction storytelling, seeking to dissolve the boundaries between reality and imagination. His current artistic practice explores the fusion of documentary with surreal imagery and animated techniques, pushing the genre toward more poetic and immersive forms. Through this approach, he hopes to reframe how we see memory, myth, and the human condition.
