Lan Wei,

Lan Wei grew up in Suzhou, China. She graduated from Duke Kunshan University where she obtained a BA degree in Media and Arts with a concentration on documentary practice. Her work focuses on the pervasiveness of spirituality among her family and the local communities in China, investigating the displaced and convoluted touch of memory. Her work also discusses the ambiguity and reflexivity in documentary representations.

She hopes to explore the combination of ethnographical approach and experimental expression during her study at Duke.
