Taemin Kim,

Taemin Kim (they/them) was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, specifically the Korean American enclave of Fort Lee. In 2024, they graduated from American University in Washington D.C., where they double majored in Film and Media Arts, and Literature with a concentration in Transcultural Studies. Through both their film and critical work, Taemin aims to document and examine the boundaries of personhood, particularly with relation to gender and trans identity. They are also concerned with the nature of transformative works as well as the potential for archive and memory (both personal and communal) as sites for creative (re)production, particularly in the post-digital age.
