    Abstract:
The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, the first polarized proton proton collider, has opened new opportunities to measure transverse single spin asymmetries in a new kinematic regime where perturbative QCD can be applied. PHENIX is one of the ongoing experiments studying the spin structure of the nucleon at RHIC. Recent results from the PHENIX experiment on transverse single spin asymmetries are presented, and their impact on our understanding of nucleon structure is discussed. © Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Licence.
