| Germain Choffart, Lecturing Fellow![]() Germain Choffart’s research interests focus on second-language acquisition, teaching dis/misinformation in multicultural and multi-linguistic contexts, the study of graphic novels and film for developing critical thinking in a foreign language, and the use of theatre and improvisation in the classroom. He holds an M.A. in French Literature from the University of Kentucky, with an emphasis on 19th and 20th century works, and an M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Greensboro College. He received his Licence (B.A.) from the Université de Metz, France, with a focus on American & British history, American & British literature, English grammar, and linguistics. In addition to teaching, his professional duties include being the coordinator French 101. He is also an actor performing with theatre and film companies in the Raleigh/Durham area.
