   Abstract:
   In April 1994, the Boeing 777 was unveiled in Everett, Washington. The aircraft was completed successfully by following the project objectives which were the development of an aircraft that would be economical to manufacture and operate and that would provide a suitable replacement for fleets of aging wide-body jet aircraft. This article describes the challenges of the project. In particular, the design and capabilities of the aircraft are highlighted.
