    Abstract:
The use of self-organized InAs/GaAs quantum dot infrared photodetectors in infrared imaging was presented. Molecular beam epitaxy was used to grow multiple layers of InAs/GaAs self-organizing quantum dots on the device surface and raster-scan system was used for imaging. Results showed that quantum dot infrared photodetectors (QDIP) can be used as an alternative for midwavelength infrared (MWIR) and long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) detection at high temperature levels.
