    Abstract:
    An experimental system has been designed to study the UWB (ultrawideband) scattering from various two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. The UWB signals were generated and detected by photoconductively switching coplanar horn antennas. These pulses contain frequency components from 5 to 70 GHz. Good agreement has been obtained between the experimental and theoretical data. The decay rate of the electromagnetic beam was also characterized, and was required to obtain the agreement between theory and experiment
