    Abstract:
A wideband multiple resonance small-signal laser equivalent circuit model is presented to improve optoelectronic circuit design accuracy. Two important laser diode characteristics, such as input reflections and electrical-to-optical transmissions are expressed together over a broad frequency range using the proposed model. To verify the model effectiveness in the actual circuit design, a direct-modulated laser drive circuit example is demonstrated. This model enables us to obtain improved optical link performances through proper design of the interfacing circuit between the laser diode and the laser driver, and to predict accurate eye-diagram performances at the stage of simulation
