    Abstract:
    The proceedings contain 30 papers. The topics discussed include: directly measuring aerosol absorption using photothermal interferometry (PTI); classification of single particle optical scattering patterns by the spectrum enhancement algorithm; an approach of cancer cells diagnosis using biophotonic chip; optical oxygen sensing systems for drug discovery applications: respirometric screening technology (RST); designing of a prototype fiber optic Raman sensor; biophotonic sensors and smart fiber optic sensor networks; laser-induced fluorescence studies of water processed by a reverse osmosis purification unit; development of a rapid method for the detection of biological threats in water; and 2D NMR spectroscopy: a spectral estimation approach.
