   Abstract:
   The X-rays and 6 γ rays in ²³⁹Pu were measured in coincidence using Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) crystals, respectively. The measured anisotropy of A=(3±6)×10^-3 is less than 2% of the maximum anisotropy predicted by the theory of Dolginov when the magnetic substate alignment is assumed to be completely retained in the coupling of the cascade γ rays and X rays
