Abstract: By using the NUFT and NU-IFFT in split-step PE to simulate high frequency troposphere radio propagation, more points could be put into the regions of interest in order to improve local accuracy. Conversely, points can be removed, and only solutions could be degraded locally. Numerical results show that, through nonuniform PE, the number of sampling points can be reduced by a factor of two and still maintain solution accuracy in the desired regions.
