   Abstract:
   We report 1100 × 1100-port optical crossconnect switch using micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. The challenge of generating the database for each connection was addressed by advanced mathematical modeling, streamlined learning process and efficient hill-climbing algorithm.
