Research Categories: Bacterial stress, antibiotic drug design

Current projects: E. coli homocysteine stress response, E. coli trimethoprim response

Research Description: My focus is largely on bacterial stress. First I focus on the bacterial stress response to homocysteine, a non-protein amino acid. I assess response based on growth dynamics and physiological response. Second I focus on the bacterial response to the antibiotic trimethoprim, hoping to develop new drug targets as the response is deeply understood.
